‘Veritas’ is Louise Jordan’s third album and it confirms the distinctive singer, musician and songwriter she has become. There remains both folk and classical elements in her work but her singing style is anchored strongly to the work of such naturally disarming folk singers as Shirley Collins and Anne Briggs.

Veritas features empowering original songs In the End and If It Lasts as well as arrangements of traditional songs Bushes and Briars and Garners Gay, an acoustic arrangement of Handel’s aria ‘Where’er You Walk’ and musical interpretations of two poems by AA Milne.

The album is released thanks to an Emerging Excellence Award from Help Musicians UK and support from the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s Mentoring Programme, through which Louise worked with producer Stu Hanna (Megson, Show of Hands, Seth Lakeman).
